What options do I have to extend my stay in Thailand without incurring overstay fines after my Covid-19 extension expires?

Hi all,

My Covid-19 extension of stay expires on June 22. I'd like to stay for an extra few days beyond that point (without paying overstay fines). Do I have any options? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand for a few days beyond their Covid-19 extension expiration date without incurring overstay fines. Responses suggest that they can apply for another extension at the immigration office before their current expiry date, potentially allowing a further stay of up to 7 days if their application is not approved. They may also consider applying for a new 60-day Covid extension if they visit the immigration office when 30 days or less remain on their current stamp.

Or if it's really just a few days, you can go to the immigration office on or just before your current expiration day to apply for another extension for whatever reason. Your application may be not approved, then you would get a stamp for up to 7days to leave the country. The extension application fee is the same if it's approved or not.

depending on the immigration office you use you might be able to go this week and apply for another 60 day covid extension (Most offices let you apply for a new extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp)

without applying for another extension nope you got no options and would run up 500 baht a day in overstay fines until you stamped out.

ok thanks. From what I've heard Pai immigration isn't doing covid extensions, or it's really difficult to get it done. Do you know if Chiang Mai immigration would give me another extension with less than 30 days left on my current stamp?

in Chiang Mai you can apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp :)
