Good afternoon,

If we want to apply for the 60 days covid extension, do we have to go a maximum of 3 days before our visa expired (mine expires on the 12 of August) or can I go this week so it is done?

Thanks in advance for your help!!! โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜„

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the timing for applying for a 60-day COVID visa extension in Thailand, specifically whether they can apply up to 3 days before their visa expires or if they can apply earlier. Comments inquire about the specific immigration office and visa type.

1. What immigration office?

2. If you are using Bangkok immigration, did you enter on a visa exempt, or a tourist visa?

AS OF RIGHT NOW, you can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 when you have 3 days or less remaining on your current stamp. For Bangkok immigration only, the forms can be found at

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. MAYBE A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (I posted above for Bangkok immigration)

4. *MAYBE* A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they donโ€™t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters (I don't know if this is being asked at Bangkok immigration).

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.
