What accommodation documentation is needed for a multiple entry tourist visa for Thailand?

Hello Group.  I am applying for a multiple entry tourist visa that is valid for 6 months, multiple entries, 60 days for each entry.  My question is, how long to need to show documentation for hotels booked?  I plan to arrive and spend about 5 days in Chaing Mai, but beyond that it is difficult to determine my exact schedule and I hesitate to make any more confirmed hotel reservations.  After 2 or 3 weeks in Thailand I plan to Visit Vietnam and Philippines for a couple weeks, then return to Thailand for another 5 weeks in Thailand.  No plans are concrete  after I arrive and spend 5 days in Chiang Mai.  All other documentation is simple - Flight tickets, Bank statement, Photo, Passport are simple, but it's the accommodation I am struggling with.  Thank you.

When applying for a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) for Thailand, initial hotel bookings are the primary concern for documentation. After entering Thailand initially and spending your stipulated time, you can extend your stay or re-enter without needing to show further accommodation proof.

Im on the same visa as you and I only booked my first hotel for 2 nights and that was sufficient. Just remember everytime you leave Thailand and then come back in, you'll need to do a new TDAC within 3 days of your arrival.

The documentation requirements for a tourist visa vary between embassies and consulates. Some require little to no documentation, while others may request proof for the entire stay. As a "rule of thumb", a few days to up to a week of accommodation is usually sufficient. I would submit the hotel booking you already have in Chiang Mai and assume that will be adequate. If they should require more, you will normally be contacted by e-mail during the processing of your visa application anyway.

As long as you can show any accommodation booking ( at least the first week ) that is enough to obtain The EVisa .

Coming in and out of Thailand once you have the METV , most likely , will require you to show bookings for accom & flights

It’s only the 1st accommodation that’s important,…if you stay at a hotel,… they will do the TM 30,….after this you stay 60 days,…than you go to the immigration near you and extend for 30 days ( 1900 bath ), after this you leave the country, come back ( it doesn’t matter if you just bounce a boarder ) get in get out,…you will have 60 days more and you repeat the visit at nearest immigration and buy 30 days more.
