Can I apply for a Non-B visa in Laos after being issued a tourist visa with Thai writing on it?

You won’t be able to. I have the same writing. Was denied in Laos too. You will have to go home to change your visa. It’s the only way to get things back to normal

The Thai written on visa read :

- If (the visa holder) wants to change the type of visa, (the immigration officer) please consider telling her to get a new visa from her country of origin.

- suspected (she) has been staying from April through June 2018

- Please check the means/income for supporting (herself) while entering the country

-(Have a tendency to change visa to become an English teacher)

Looks like you have to go home to get a Non B visa to re enter Thailand. After you come back with a Non B visa, your employer can arrange to get you a work visa and a work permit.

over the years we have seen many South African coming in on 30 day entry visa, just recently we got many people with Tourist Visa and lately we noted, since March" these remarks.And since 2-3 weeks Vientiane start to reject people.

Bottom line seems to be never apply for a visa in Pretoria.

In your documentation did you say you are unemployed in South Africa?

Vientiane only reject people with the writing that mark "APPLY VISA IN HOME COUNTRY". So far we have seen 4-5 different writing, but not everyone got rejected. Savannakhet will always ask for bank statement.

It`s a single entry so leave the country to cancel the visa and then come back on a visa exempt (or buy a tourist visa in Vientiane) before you go to Laos again for a non B IMHO, but check with
