I have a non b Visa. I currently work as a teacher in a school on Bangkok. After having a dispute with my supervisor I was wandering if I get terminated, can I apply for a covid extension or would I have to leave Thailand in 7 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a non-B visa and become terminated from your teaching job, you may be able to apply for a COVID extension rather than leaving Thailand within 7 days. However, it is crucial to know the exact date your work visa is canceled. Some users have successfully obtained a COVID visa after their work visa was canceled, while others encountered issues due to lack of communication from their employers regarding the cancellation.
Make sure that you go on the exact date of your work visa cancellation. The school I worked at cancelled my work visa without telling me. Had to pay overstay, but could apply for a Covid Visa.
did your school provide you with a letter or any document to show immigration that your work permit had been cancelled? My school have done the same thing and I’m having trouble getting a reply and not sure if I can go to immigration to apply for Covid visa without any documents from school
Hello Emma! They just gave me the cancelled work permit (one week after they did it). I showed it to immigration with a filled form of my cancellation of my visa. I directly applied for Covid extension and paid overstay fee thanks to the old school. The school have to give you at least the old work permit.
there is NO official limit on the number of 60 day covid extensions you can get. I know people who have been here since before the lock down last year at the end of March, who took the amnesty, then embassy extensions and who have been on 60 day covid extensions since they started that program in Nov last year.
