Hi all! Thank you for accepting me to this group . I have a question. My current contract ends 1 May and I’m looking for a new school. I’m on Non b visa right now. So could I get any covid extensions due my situation? And when should I go to immigration? 29 April will do? Thank you and have a great day!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a Non-B visa and is inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a COVID-related extension for their visa due to their upcoming contract ending on May 1. They are also asking if visiting immigration on April 29 for this matter would be appropriate.

I guess you got a big stamp in your passport after a visit to Immigration with the text Extension of Stay permitted up to xx/xx/xx

This stamp has to be cancelled on your last day of working, you can apply for a new Extension of Stay, even one based on unable to travel but it is the Immigration Officer who decide to approve your application.
