Hello everyone, I have a baby boy. Is it possible if I can get a 60- day extension after the amnesty ends or do I need to get a letter from my embassy that says I want to stay longer to visit my son?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about obtaining a 60-day extension to stay in Thailand with their newborn son after the end of the visa amnesty period. Responses indicate that an extension can be requested at immigration based on parental grounds, and it is advised to apply before the amnesty period concludes. Family presence during the application process may improve the chances of approval.

Alright, thank you.

Get it just before the amnesty ends. You may have issues after.

You can get a 60 day extension at immigration based on your son at there discretion best to go as a family seems to go smoothly that way I found

Hope that helps

I have ED visa but in Covid I stucked here , my ED almost run out. I went to Chonburi immigration and they sent me to Education table. I showed them the proof that we both are waiting interview from his father’s embassy for his passport . She gave me Covid paper and told me must to have Letter from embassy (not his embassy ) . I asked her if baby 5 months I can not have extension so I have to leave baby alone here. She says yes

I received a 60-day extension before, from April 1st to May 29th. So, will immigration give me another 60 days when I go for an extension? And should I take my wife and son again the do the extension?

Before we went as a family and they took pictures and put it in the system.

You wont get a second 60 day extention if you've already had one on your current 'admitted to stay' stamp.

you can only get 1 60 day extension per entry. Some offices only issue one extension per visa. If you have already had it for this entry, your done.

My second option is to get a 30 day extension. My agency is preparing my Non-B doc's but they are not sure how long it will take. Due to covid-19 it takes a bit longer. So can I get a 30-day extension due to this?
