Hi! Maybe somebody knows or ran into the same situation. Are there any extensions due to child birth ( both parents are foreigners).

Now we are on amnesty, baby was born few days ago and of course we need time to prepare documents, consulate said need around 45 days to get passport. Without baby passport we cannot leave Thailand on 31 of July. A little bit confused with this situation...

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about possible visa extensions for expatriate parents due to the recent birth of their child, as they were on amnesty and needed time to secure the baby's passport to leave Thailand. The responses indicated that there is no direct extension for childbirth but suggested obtaining a medical letter from the doctor to request a 30/60/90-day extension from Thai Immigration. Additionally, it was recommended to wait for any government announcements regarding visa policies.

I suggest you wait for a government announcement this week.

And in the event the amnesty is not extended...

I suggest you meet with your doctor and ask for a medical certificate requesting a
*****
/90 days extension from Thai Immigration. (the doctor will determine the time frame for post birth baby and mother medical care...up to 90 days checkup)...the doctor and hospital have the Medical Certificate to prepare specifically for Thai Immigration extension requests.

As both the baby and you are under their medical care at this time and unable to fly.

With that we wish both you and baby good health..take good care.

Yes..just wait till tomorrow untill official decree comes out.

My son was born here to 2 western parents. As long as your kid who was born here never leaves thailand..they can stay without a visa...once they depart..at any age...to return they will be treated as a normal westerner under whatever visa conditions are required for ur passport......

Dont stress

I never seen the possibility of an Extension of Stay based on humanitarian basis, but always willing to learn new things, Where can i find the explanation or requirements for this Extension?

I just cited it from a memory - there is an Ordinance, likely, by Ministry of Interior, where all kinds of extensions listed, long list, incl. medical one, or if someone in court proceedings etc.

I didn't need it, so I didn't save this document.
