Hi, can you kind people please help me... I came to Thailand for the second time this year in May and have already extended my tourist visa once for 30 days in June (My first visit was in February for 3 weeks). Now I am going to KL to (hopefully) get a 60 day tourist visa. I'm staying in a shared house and I can not get a TM30 form. I'm also not sure when I will be leaving Thailand, cuz I would love to extended the 60 day visa than to a 90 days one. Will I be able to get the visa without TM30 and a conformation of the flight out? Do you have any advice for me what I could do to avoid getting red stamped? Thank you so much in advance. Also - if they deny me the 60 day visa, can I still come back to Thailand for the duration of this July visa Im on? Tnx and have a beautiful day everybody :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for a 60-day tourist visa in Malaysia after already extending their tourist visa in Thailand. They are concerned about not having a TM30 form, not being able to provide proof of onward travel, and the potential for a 'red stamp' which may prevent future visa applications. Comments provide insights on the TM30's relevance (not required for new visa applications), possible outcomes if the 60-day visa is denied, and requirements for applying at different embassies.

Thanks to all for your helpful replies to the OP. We wish her Good

Luck ๐Ÿ€. I think a trip to Vientiane should be in her plans soon.

And as you are using back to back multiple visas, with extensions to live in Thailand.. Be prepared if asked by Thai Immigration upon reentry with the 3 proofs: 20,000 Thai baht in CASH, Confirmed address for your stay, and show your ticket DEPARTING Thailand

The only Thai Consulate in the area where people can apply for a Single Entry Tourist Visa without any plans of accommodation, onward travel or bank statements is the Thai Consulate in Vientiane Laos. But also here you need an on-line appointment.

And just as extra info: First you check on this page if the country of origin of your passport is listed as restricted country or not. Than you can click to get to the requirements for a visa. As you see than, you have to make an on-line appointment to visit this Thai Embassy to make the visa application. You also have to make an on-line appointment for the next working day to pick up your passport and the visa. BUT above all you need to meet all the requirements, it seems you have to make some plans to get a visa at this Embassy.

Here's my opinion:

1. Regarding the TM30 form: All houses have an owner in Thailand, and therefore you need permission from the owner to stay on the property (otherwise it's trespassing). I'd contact the owner and have them file the TM30. If they get fined, they pay it.

2. A TM30 is NOT needed to get a new visa.

3. A TM30 is NOT checked at the airports before departure.

4. A TM30 MAY BE required to get an extension of stay (NOT a new visa), depending on the immigration office.

5. I'm not sure what a "red stamp" is. If the red stamp is "you can no longer apply for a tourist visa at this embassy" that is put on the visa sticker, you will not get one for failing to file a TM30 (see point 2 above).

6. If you are denied a 60 day tourist visa, you may be able to return on a 30 day visa exempt, and may be able to extend it by another 30 days, depending on which country you're from.

7. Each embassy is different for the tourist visa requirements. Some will require proof of leaving Thailand and a hotel room booking (or a letter from the homeowner saying you're staying there).

8. For single entry visas, once you enter Thailand, the visa is used and you can not reenter on it. You can apply for a re-entry permit, which will keep your visa "alive" until the day the visa expires.

Hopefully this answers your questions.

Chays William Brown I imagine t'll be something like:

"To whom it may concern,

[person name here] will be staying at my residence at [address here], from [starting date] to [ending date]. If there are further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at [telephone number here].

Thank you
