Hi there,
I have heard that if you have not yet had your 30 day extension (eg on a visa upon arrival, or a tourist visa), you can still apply for one at the immigration office, and get that for after the amnesty term expires.
So effectively, one could stay until end of August, and perhaps with a bit of luck the situation has changed, and one could stay even longer.
However, I heard from someone else though that this is not true and that the immigration office does not extend the additional 30 days on top the amnesty .
My question is; is there anyone who has gone to Koh Samui and actually tried this? Or is there another way of verifying what the truth is?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether it's possible to apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office in Koh Samui after the amnesty period, specifically if they have not yet utilized their 30-day extension on their visa upon arrival or tourist visa. There are mixed reports from the community indicating that some immigration offices may grant this extension while others do not, leading to confusion about the current rules.
