Hello, I arrived to BKK on March 16th on a 30 day visa exempt (Spanish passport) and I didn't use any of the 30 days extensions as amnesty kicked in. I'm reading mixed feedback about being able to apply for these 30 days extensions during current situation. Has anyone applied successfully in Bangkok Muang Thong Tani Immigration office? Thanks for your time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of extending a 30-day visa exempt entry after the expiration of their visa due to amnesty in Thailand. They pose the question specifically around the regulations at the Bangkok Muang Thong Tani Immigration office, seeking clarity on whether an extension is possible under current circumstances.
, and the replies as they were talking about something that hasn't happened yet.
AT THIS TIME you CANNOT extend a 30 day visa exempt entry on amnesty by 30 more days with anything but an embassy letter AND most embassies will not give the letter.
, thanks for your answers. So you mean, that if my visa was expired before the Amnesty I could get my extra 30 days. As my visa expired during the amnesty I cannot extend the 30 days? The more I ask, the more confused I get. ๐
you didn't ENTER the country with a VISA :/ You came in on a 30 day visa exempt entry and went straight on amnesty and that means you CANNOT get a 30 day extension.
The ONLY option you might have is to contact your consulate and see if they will issue you an unable to travel during covid-19 letter to ask for a 30 day emergency extension.

Nope, you cannot, they will NOT let you get a 30 day extension from a 30 day visa exempt entry when you went on amnesty after it expired.
