My friend is having a baby soon and will not be renewing her teaching contract in September ? Is it possible to change in country from a Non-B visa extension ( for teaching ) to a Non-O ( dependant ) visa ( following husband who has a Non- B visa extension ) ? Thanks so much for taking the time to respond ! Very much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of switching from a Non-B visa (for teaching) to a Non-O visa (dependent) while in Thailand, following the birth of a baby. A comment explains that the friend must first cancel her work permit and current visa extension but should ensure her husband's employer is ready to provide the necessary documents to support her application for the Non-O visa.

First of all she need to cancel her work permit and her Extension of Stay based on employment in Thailand. BUT before she does that, she has to make sure that the employer of her husband is willing to give the support documents to apply directly for an Extension of Stay based on depending a foreigner with a long stay in Thailand.
