Can a child of an ED visa holder easily obtain a Non-O visa in Thailand?

Quick question. If someone gets an ED visa and they have a kid. Will the kid get a Non O visa easily?
Does it have to be a one year ED visa to get a non O because some university students get 3-6 month extensions.

Looking back on it all, I wish I would’ve checked on here with Garrett.......We just returned from Hanoi with our 11 and 15 yr old kids on Tourist Visas because they wouldn’t issue Non-O to them under mine or my wife’s ED Visas. We had been told by others that our kids could follow one of us on a Non-O.
So I would take Garrett Greenwald’s advice. 👍🏼😁

they just said “you can’t do that” 🤷🏼♂️ They wanted our kids on their own ED Visas, but they don’t start school until August.Sultan ****
