Hi! Are here any German nationals or nationals of other countries with a visa exemption for 30 days who have applied for an extension of stay for another 30 days? I heard it is possible and you have to go to the local immigration bureau. On the Thai website however I can only find which documents are necessary but not where to go exactly and how long it takes. Any experience with that here?

people from 52 countries (germany included) can show up here without having bought a visa from the thai consulate before they came here, get stamped in on what's called a 30 day visa exempt entry and then get ONE 30 day extension on that at the immigration office that serves the area where they stay in thailand for 1900baht.
