Hello! I come to Thailand without a visa Prior and got 30days visa stamp upon arrival, and now the visa is about to expire in 3 days but i would like to stay in Thailand for alittle more for the Loy Krathong. So i was wondering if I can do visa extention? I havnt done that before, and eventuelt what I need for it? What paper? And which immigration office (I stay in Bangkok)? And what do I need to know. Or do i need to do visa run? And eventuelt how people do the visa run here in Thailand? Usually when I stayed in Korea, i just do visa run to Thailand/Japan for a few days, but here when i try to look up there is more different than what I am used to, as there is all sort of bus/train to cambodia and Laos.

Ps: I am a Norwegian citizen

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Norwegian citizen currently on a 30-day visa exemption stamp in Thailand can extend their stay for an additional 30 days by visiting the local immigration office in Bangkok, specifically at IT Square Laksi, and paying a fee of 1900 baht. Required documents for the extension include the TM30 form obtained from your landlord or accommodation, your passport, copies of your passport's first page and entry stamp, a passport-sized photo, and the cash fee. Additionally, as a Norwegian citizen, you are allowed two free visa-exempt entries per calendar year, which can also be extended. If you decide not to extend, a visa run to neighboring countries like Cambodia or Laos is another option, with various transport options available.

1. Ask your landlord/hotel/Airbnb for your TM30

2. Go to your nearest immigration office and ask for “30 day extension”. You need the TM30 from step 1 + your passport + copies of both your passport photo page and your stamp page + passport photo + 1900 baht in cash. You will be asked to fill a TM7 document there.

Boom! You have 30 extra days in your visa

As a Norwegian you're allowed 2 free visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31) and you can extend those entries one time for 30 days like you will do on the entry you're here on now <- which is NOT a visa stamp on arrival, isn't any visa at all just a free entry stamp.

there's no real official limit to free entry by air, but if you have a history of living here on free entries at some point they will deny you entry.

You're allowed one 30 day extension per entry (free 30 day stamp or 60 day tourist visa). In Bangkok you get it at the immigration office in IT Square Laksi Plaza 3rd Floor

It's 1900baht

Here is where it is
