Thanks in advance and apologies if this has been asked a thousand times. My friend just flew in on a Lithuanian passport with no visa and received a 15 day stamp. Can this be extended at an immigration office like the regular 30 day stamp I get (UK passport) and if so will the extension be for 15 or 30 days? ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Lithuanian passport holder arriving in Thailand receives a 15-day visa on arrival, which cannot be extended at an immigration office. An extension for this visa type is not permitted, unlike the regular 30-day stamp available to some other nationalities. As of April 14th, Lithuanian citizens are granted a 30-day stamp upon entry, but this does not apply to arrivals before that date.

Had he flown in from April 14th...he would have received 30 days. Lithuanian citizens granted 30 days on arrival as of 14 April.
