I am a Polish citizen with a Polish passport. I am going to spend 60 days in Thailand.

First 30 days on arrival visa then extend another 30 days in Immigration Office.

My questions are:

1.As a Polish citizen, can/have to I apply for a visa on arrival online (evisa) before traveling to Thailand?

2.if the answer to the first question is positive.

Is there any difference if i will get visa on arrival at thailand airport and visa on arrival online (evisa) receive in my country before I fly to Thailand?

Can I extend visa on arrival to another 30 days at the Immigration Office in both cases?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Polish citizen can enter Thailand via Visa Exempt Entry, receiving a 30-day stamp upon arrival. The Visa On Arrival (VOA) process is not applicable to Polish citizens as they are not on the VOA eligible nationality list; they can only apply for a proper visa in advance. The eVisa system is different from the eVOA system, which is for pre-approval for certain nationalities and does not apply to Polish citizens. For extending their stay by another 30 days, Polish citizens can do so at the Thai Immigration Office for a fee, regardless of whether they entered on a visa or as Visa Exempt.

Here is a bit of additional clarification.

- Poland is one of the visa-exempt eligible countries. This means people from these countries are eligible for Visa Exempt entry for free. (it's not any type of visa)

- eVisa system is NOT for pre-approval Visa On Arrival. eVIsa is for application for any other proper visa than VOA, and application has to be done in advance of your travel to Thailand.

- Visa On Arrival is only for 17 nationalities. These nationalities can apply for VOA at the entry point by paying 2000 thb official fee without purchasing a proper visa in advance.

eVOA system is the one for pre-approval VOA, different from eVisa system

This is why we always ask members to understand what they want and use appropriate wording.

If you BUY a Thai tourist visa before you fly to Thailand... You are stamped in for 60 days on arrival. And that can be extended for an ADDED 30 days at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Here's the website for the Thai Embassy in Warsaw Poland

Thank you very much James.. Can you explain to me more? Is it possible to receive 30 days Visa exemption before flight to Thailand by evisa page (online)? Can I only get it at the airport when I arrive in Thailand?

These are the common found requirements for the 30 days extension of stay. The 30 days are ADDED to your entry stamp of 30 days.

If you arrive into Thailand as Visa Exempt Entry... You will be stamped in for 30 days.

THEN you go to your local Thai Immigration office and apply for the 30 days extension of stay. 1900 Thai baht.

That gives you a total of 60 days in Thailand. Remember... The day you arrive into Thailand counts as DAY #1.
