TLDR : Answer Summary
Self-employed individuals looking to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand should provide various documents to prove their income and business operations. Suggested evidence includes recent self-assessment tax returns if registered as a sole trader in the UK, invoices, and any client contracts. Alternatives like creating an LLC to show financial stability may be beneficial. Providing proof of your ability to work remotely, such as business registration and tax documents, is also essential.

I was approved as a stock trader by including a letter explaining how I make money and showing my brokerage statement. Your mileage may vary.

If you’re trading in your own name and not under an LLC, it’ll be difficult. I met an American dude at the Taipei Thai consulate with the same issue. He was stuck there for a month, not sure if he got it. I have a registered LLC in the U.S. and got mine the next day.

By income/tax documents issued by the national tax authority of your country, meaning the country you're paying taxes at.
