Can a DTV holder be denied entry into Thailand for not meeting conditions like the 500k requirement?

i had ED before dtv. Never been asked anything, i got my workcation dtv august '24. Havent seen any posts regarding this on the group? (Anonymous dont count). Also important to note that maybe some nationalities have more screening than others?

And yes some nationalities are under monitoring more than others... please when we say something we are not here to argue or go in a long discussion.. we are answering according to what may happen and what usual happen nothing less or more ka , thank you

You did indeed not answer the author directly, but I just notice the discrimination of Anonymous posters here by a group of members from which you are just one.

It starts to be annoying to see everywhere that anonymous posters don't count, as you just said or are defamed as liars, fearmongerers and trolls.

That is not how decent people should talk about others.

and i fully understand them, i was about to buy one just 1month before they put out the dtv, because it was my only option to continue living here. Consider myself very lucky

You treat anonymous users different from non-anonymous users, that simply is discriminating.

You can have your own opinion, and you are even free to believe or not believe others experiences, but openly attack others because they post anonymous and have a different EXPERIENCE is just not OK.

The idea that anonymous posters are elite visa buyers is just a conspiricy theory or do you have any proof of this?

Why should an elite visa holder with a much better visa post here anonymous telling about experiences that just might be true?

For any visa, maybe even elite visa, but certainly DTV visa there will be checks, and it is only a matter of time when irregularities are discovered.

Taking into account the number ofissued DTV visa and the number of abusers my guess is they already will have stopped some.

I actually do hope they start to for example, ask for soft power continuing, thats something decent and appropriate... what it comes to funds, its a lot bigger picture there, because it would affect every retiree here too, that hitting global news would seriously do harm to the country I believe. But yes they have the right to do it, if they want. I dont think they want. Tourism is going down all the time, I doubt they would start making things more difficult

retirees are checked with their yearly extension, and yes I do know agents can handle things there that should not be done.

handled on extension, not on entry, just like dtv. I think you got my point now. And no i didnt say elite visa holders post anything, read again, slowly...

at extension the whole last year is checked, so on paper it should be completely correct. Checking extra at entry by immigration officers would make it look like immigration officers at the offices don't do their job correct. I rest my case.

You say there might be elite visa buyers posting experiences that are not true. I understand you perfectly, but I hate people calling other people liars and fearmongerers without any proof at all. You don't have to believe everything, but unless you have strong evidence, you just should not suggest such things. And just a well meant advice, be very carefull with these kind of things because defamation can be strongly punished in Thai law, even when you have prove the other did something wrong.

I know, but if you only respond this way to someone who is anonymous, you're actually demonstrating that you're discriminating and not responding to the content. It would be good for the group if other (anonymous) posters weren't spoken about so disrespectfully.

You can still have a discussion about a different opinion, but questioning an experience without any evidence is simply disrespectful.

we all can have our own opinions, and the other readers make up their own based on what they read. You too. Lets allow everyone to make up their own conclusions okay? I didnt discriminate anyone, I just stated i havent seen any non-anonymous (or even anonymous) post on the subject. Even if I saw an anonymous one, i would just skip that. Since dtv was published, many elite visa buyers went nuts, so you never know do you :)
