Under the new Soft Power DTV framework, is there a strict, legally binding minimum number of course hours required per 6 months? As there are many options available and I hope to choose the right option of not being rejected mainly regarding the strict hours requirement. Anyone might know?
Answer summary
Under the new Soft Power DTV framework, there is no strict, legally binding minimum number of course hours specified for the DTV visa application. However, many course providers recommend enrolling in courses of at least 9 to 12 months to avoid issues with visa rejections. Applicants are advised to choose programs with a solid reputation and a higher course duration to increase their chances of approval. The conversation highlights varying opinions on course lengths, visa risks, and the importance of selecting credible educational providers.

Very simple if only a soft power course and not other documents to verify your financial stability, go for 12-24-36 months, because schools will only wants to increase this numbers 555.

But if you can combine proof of your income and financial stability beyond minimum official requirements, so for combo with soft power it's working 6 months courses from reputable companies follow them advises ( not a public group anonymous advice)

Go for at least 9 months course. Make sure the course provider has a good track record for dtv applications. Then it should be fine in terms of number of classes

What is your passport nation?

Where are you now?

For which soft power activity course are you going to submit with your DTV visa application?

There's no legally binding requirement stated... it's all subject to the Thai Embassy or Consulate which considers your DTV visa application

It's now recommended to book the soft power activity course for 9 months or 12.

Please Note that it's now recommended by many soft power activity course providers to submit at least 9 months or more of your course with your DTV Visa Application. Reason for that is to avoid getting the SETV single entry tourist visa or METV multiple entry tourist visa issued by the Thai Embassy or Consulate instead of the DTV visa applied for.

Reasoning that with the SETV ( 3 months) or METV (6 months) visa you can complete the course you're applying for vs the DTV visa.
