Will my medical treatment cover braces that have already been applied in Thailand?

Just a quick one as it's getting more and more difficult to enter Thailand now. I currently have braces from a orthodontist in Thailand but I've been unable to visit every month. I've had them now over 3 years before I had ed visa so it wasn't a problem for the most part.

I was just wondering if medical treatment would cover braces that have already been applied. I probably have at least another full year until completion (if I attend every month).

Thanks
Answer summary
The post discusses concerns regarding ongoing orthodontic treatment (braces) in Thailand while navigating visa requirements. The original poster queries if their medical treatment could cover previously applied braces since their visits have been infrequent. Responses indicate that the DTV visa covers such treatment, provided the individual presents a detailed treatment plan from their dentist. Additional comments address issues related to visa types, entry regulations into Thailand, and guidance on necessary documentation for health-related visas.

Yes covered , you enter Thailand, go to the dentist and get a thorough assessment and treatment plan for at least a year (preferably with appointments every 2-3 weeks) , the dentist must be approved as being suitable for DTV

DTV for medical treatment is fine. Get the correct documents from your dentist showing an ongoing treatment plan for 18 months etc. and their relevant company and dental/medical registration.

Bite the bullit and get the correct visa

You start your topic with "it's getting more and more difficult to enter Thailand now."

That's only the stupid price you won with the stupid games.

How many years of the Ed Visa have you been on? Studying Thai language?

Did you actively participate in the Thai language study by attending classes and passing tests?

What Thai Visa, if any, are you now on?

Where are you now?

What is your passport nation?

What is your age?

I'm no longer on ED visa but it was only 15 months. I went to school and studied and have a good grasp of the language.

I am no longer in Thailand, I have been back 2 times over the last 6 months both just for short visits to see my dentist and have short holiday before going back Vietnam. But the last time I went back they told me I have exhausted my 2 visits this year.

I am from UK and I'm 34.

Yes you have used your allowed 2 Visa Exempt Entries for the prior 12 months.

If you plan to enter Thailand again

Get a SETV single entry tourist visa. Or another Thai Visa.

the Thai Immigration Officers can question you about...WHY you are coming to Thailand so many times ?

Have your Dentist appointment and your departure ticket WITHIN 90 days or sooner to show, if asked. Along with the equivalent of 20,000 Thai baht in CASH and the booking info of where you will be staying during the initial week of arrival.

so SETV isn't included d with the 2 entries. I didn't realise that. I will definitely apply for this and when I visit my orthodontist next time I will get them to prepare documents for my DTV visa. Thank you.

Language test results are used in part by immigration as evidence of being a serious student.

You would need to present a 9–12-month detailed dental plan from your dentist
