The conversation reveals mixed experiences regarding the application for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) from the Netherlands. Several users advise against applying from the Netherlands due to strict regulations and a complicated process, with one user mentioning they were rejected twice. Others have found alternative countries like Laos or Belgium to be preferable options for applying. It's noted that applicants must be residents of the Netherlands to apply from there, and adherence to specific documentation requirements is crucial.

They are a nightmare. They demand everything you could possibly think of then when you submit it they ask for a aeroplane ticket. Then decline ... seems almost like a deliberate wind up
I haven’t seen many Netherlands DTV cases yet, but from recent reports most embassies follow the same core checklist. The main differences usually come down to how proof of funds is presented and whether extra supporting documents are requested. If you go ahead with it, please update the group — it would help others.
Alles staat uitgelegd op de officiële website, volgens mij hetzelfde als bij andere ambassades + je moet in Nederland wonen en verblijven tijdens de aanvraag.
