Will I face issues returning to Thailand if my passport expires soon but I have a valid extension of stay and re-entry permit?

Hi, my current passport and BOI extension of stay expire on august 15th. I started the passport renewal process a bit too late and due to unusual delays, I'm not sure I will receive my new passport and have time to transfer/renew my extension of stay before some holidays abroad I wish to take around the end of June to beginning of July.

Will I have trouble embarking back to Thailand because my current passport is not valid for >6 months after arrival date, even though I will still own a valid extension of stay and re-entry permit?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their ability to return to Thailand due to their passport and BOI extension expiring soon, questioning whether they will encounter issues given their current travel plans. A comment advises that as long as the re-entry permit is valid, entry into Thailand should not be denied, even if the passport has less than six months validity beyond the intended return date.

If you have the Re-Entry permit you will be stamped in Thailand until 15 Aug, the same date you have now.

Thailand Immigration does not denied entry to people with less than 6 months validity on their passport, the passport must be valid for the period they get stamped in.

Thanks, that's nice to hear. I was also thinking about the airlines who may apply blindly the 6month validity rule or recommendation to let people board their planes.

I just renewed my passport in Thailand and took about three weeks to get it back. Next day I went to Thai immigrations and filled out their transfer form and they transferred everything over. So now i carry two passports old one with original OA visa and new one with stamps until my Visa runs out.
