Need advise, is it possible to leave and get stamp without penality and legally if on 60th day I have connection flight via BKK but the BKK international flight leaves Thailand 1am :10 on 61th day? (Visa exempt 30d +30d extension)

As I remember exit stamp is in BKK airport but question can I do it 1.5 hours before my exit flight?

Secondary Q, if asking extension 2nd time with denial +7 days, do we need to still pay for it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster inquires about exiting Thailand legally on the 61st day of their visa exemption, specifically regarding a connection flight that departs shortly after midnight on that day. Comments suggest that if the poster checks in for their flight before midnight on the 60th day, they can avoid an overstay penalty, provided their arrival was accurately counted as Day #1. Furthermore, if they apply for a visa extension a second time and it's denied, a fee will still be required despite receiving a stamp permitting a 7-day exit from Thailand.

Are your flights on the same ticket? In normal circumstances, you would then go through passport control for your FIRST flight, and be a CIQ (transit) passenger in BKK.

AND Yes...if an application for ANY extension is denied...you still pay the 1900 Thai baht fee

AND get the 7 Day stamp to leave Thailand.

Make sure you counted the days correctly...

Your arrival day COUNTS as Day #1

IF you did count correctly...

Be sure to check-in for your flight and clear Thai immigration before midnight on day #60 to avoid OVERSTAY stamp.

IF you are on Day #61...

You are One Day OVERSTAY

BUT

as you check-in BEFORE midnight on you will get One day overstay stamp and the fine of 500 Thai baht waived.

@James *******
it would be easy to count the days.....just look at the date for permission to stay until stamp in the passport and go by that.

The Day counting mistake happens at the time of BOOKING the flight to Thailand...

Not after arrival.

Thats when its discovered by the expat that they had miscounted the 90 days .

, and if your stamp got wrong date, it’s your responsibility to be on the right date, not immigration office/officer’s.

@Ellie ******
so if the date in your passport shows day X (which is incorrect) do you go by the incorrect date or the date you figure it should be?

@Paul ********
you should go to the immigration office/ check point to get the stamp corrected.

If the date X is after the correct date and you stay until the date X, you will be on overstay. many are told that when dealing with immigration office or leaving the country
