okay thank you. May have to look at flying into somewhere in Thailand and getting the ferry to Koh Lipe rather than getting the ferry straight there.

will I get that when entering Koh Lipe via ferry though as there is no immigration port there anymore? Where would I obtain the stamp?

thank you so much for your reply. So could I enter Koh Lipe via ferry without getting a passport stamp or anything to say when I entered? And then just get the 30 day extension at an immigration office , at the time I will be in Khao Lak so can visit an office there. Thank you again
