this is really bad advice. He will not be eligible to work in Australia legally ( unless under 35) and with only $1000 in his bank will not be able to afford a flight here, pay for his visa (AU$650) or demonstrate that he can sustain himself here for the period of his visa ( usually a minimum of AU$5000 for a longer visa, but that is guideline only)

Low skilled work is only available to under 30 or 35's ( depending on country of their passport) who are on a working holiday and they must spend a minimum period of time working in rural and remote areas.

Your post may have been well intentioned but totally not achievable for this man.

By the way, I am Australian born and lived here all my life. Through personal experience with friends and family, I know how tough it is for people to come here on any visa. It is now also incredibly expensive to live here.
