Garrett Greenwald I disagree. This is not a tripadvisor negative comment. This is about manslaughter on a daily basis. Foreigners will always use this service unaware of the dangers. Ok, previous customers will think twice after using it, I am one of those stats.. however, there will always be a steady steam of new customers.
Government intervention is a must, people are dying, not just the passengers but also innocent Thai drivers minding there own business.
Simple measures can start to improve this epidemic.
Regular road police checks on drivers for alcohol and drug use whilst driving. GPS tracking for speed.
Vehicle worthy ness for carrying public.
Accountability to the company is the only start point not just reducing customers, one death is too many when it is avoidable .
Maybe police, ministry for transport, Army representative or somebody of power should book to go on one of these runs as a secret shopper.. then and only then will they see for themselves how this companies put peoples lives at risk every day on Thailand’s roads. Just being there at the crash site picking up bodies and blaming brakes does not improve this problem
