What are the latest updates on long-stay visas (STV) now available for all nationalities in Thailand?

Yup I believe so as long as it‘s not more than 12 hours. I’m actually wondering if it’s considered as transit since I’m not switching to a different plane. Not sure whether we‘ll go through passport control, present travel requirements or something.
