The fact is the significant majority of all people wanting a “longer term Thailand visa” cannot afford AND do not meet the financial requirements of the LTR. Therefore the Thailand LTR is not the best visa for the vast majority of people.
based on the law of probability, there’s a 99% chance that the OP does not meet the criteria for an LTR. But you will argue with this point - go ahead.
A person that is not an elitist would be in touch with reality and accept and understand this.
And regarding your point about tax free status for some - there is significant speculation that this will change through Thai government taxation law changes
- quite a misleading comment as less than 1% of people coming to Thailand would qualify based on the necessary criteria. So clearly not the best visa for most people đź‘Ž
