might be because we have to enter on Australian passports. Once in BKK, we will take Thai birth certificate to apply for Thai passport for child. We can’t get Thai passport before we leave Australia as this requires the whole family to fly to another city in Australia to present and apply Thai passport. So, the issue is, my son comes in using Australian passport and visa and needs to meet those requirements otherwise might run into an overstay situation. Thai consulate recommended the child go in on family visa
ok last follow up just to be clear. Are you saying that just before 90 days is up, I have an opportunity to request an extension of 60 days and if successful, this would mitigate the need to border run at 90 days, thereby essentially offering 5 months stay on original entry? Thanks so much, greatly appreciated
ok thanks so much for that clarity. After 90 days, can the stay be extended by another 30 days by paying the 1900 baht and visiting immigrations or, will my son and I definitely need to leave Thailand at or before the 90 day mark? Thanks again.
