Hi David, my idea is to eventually sell my house and live off the proceeds in Thailand for a year and see how it goes from there. The UK is going down hill rapidly and it would be cheaper to live in Thailand. I also have some health issues that my stop me from working soon anyway.

Quick question re. The bank account. Is the 2500 a must pay for the accident insurance or just something they try and sell to you?

hi John, my rough understanding is if I can prove I have already paid tax on it in the UK I should be OK not to have to pay tax in Thailand.
