I'm just about to do my first 12 month extension on my non O staying with a Thai family member (marriage).
It co insides with us moving into a house that's just being completed. In the same province, district and sub district.
Bank Guarantee Letter
The letter from the bank showing seasoned funds, will that have my address on as I want to change my old address in due course or do I need to change to the new address ASAP?
If the latter can I go in the branch and do with my wife's blue book or do I need to get a new letter of residency from immigration to show the bank to update the address?
I made a big mistake. I just applied my extension based on Non imm O (marriage) 2 days ago. I submitted bank guarantee letter of total amount of 500k thb which is more than required. Now at this period of time, can i withdraw out 100k thb out for usage but leaving no less than 400k thb inside bank as required? Will it forfeited the guarantee letter?
To all admins and contributors at Thai Visa Advice, another big thank you for all your advice and guidance.
Yesterday I successfully completed the renewal of my Non-O based upon being over fifty (retirement) on banked, seasoned money and using the PDF TM7 (in the files section of site), at Chiang Wattana.
Before going I got my bank, Kasikorn, letter verifying that the account is genuine and mine, the letter is called a 'Bank Guarantee letter for immigration' and can be printed in Thai or English and costs 100tb. (I asked at CW and they don't care which language, they just need it in one of these two languages)
Arrived at CW at 6.30am, queue number 121, then 15th in line at section L1 inside immigration.
After getting queue number, 121, I updated my bank book and got a photocopy of the updated page, as recommended by Tod Daniels was ready to go document-wise.
While waiting to be seen by an IO they had a new process to me, document check, followed then by seeing IO.
10.30am the exemption was in my passport and passport back with me.
After a quick photocopy of the new exemption I was in the line for a multi-entry visa and by 11.30am all completed and walking out of CW. Phew!!!!
Oh how I regret that my embassy has stopped issuing the earnings affidavit, it was such an easy process compared to bank money.
However, all done for another year and as said, a big thanks for all the advice, guidance and the answering of my trivial questions. 👍😀😁
