I was just curious. The best way to transfer the 800,000 baht that is required for visa from your bank in America to a Thai bank when opening a new account. Do they have a domestic router number in Thailand? Thanks

I currently reside in the US and I finally secured health insurance to meet the visa requirements.

I know this sounds like an idiotic question but I’m going to ask anyway. What is the easiest way to wire funds directly to the insurance company’s United Overseas Bank (UOB) account?

I have attempted to use Western Union, Wise, and even looked into international wires on my credit union website with no success.

Wise doesn’t list UOB. Western Union errors out citing the need for a BIC/Swift code. And I didn’t see the option to wire funds internationally for any of my 4 credit unions. Its late so Im sure I am overlooking something.

Any suggestions? TIA

After a few dead-ends I eventually got a bank account here, but unfortunately without online access. Surprised that's considered an "extra" and Bangkok Bank said I wasn't eligible on a tourist visa. However, a manager gave me the branch's SWIFT code... can I make transfers into this account from North America using that number?
