My 1 year marriage visa expires on 15 November. As I am currently oversees I wonder how many days maximum my husband and me must present to immigration office to renew the visa. Can we read this info somewhere? Thank you

Okay it's time for my Non-O 1 year retirement visa extension for another year. Requirements change frequently so need to confirm requirements. As far as I recall I need 1. a copy of my passport front page with photo, 2. a copy of the original visa, 3. a copy of the 1 yr. extension, 4. a copy of the TM6 Departure card and 5. a copy of TM30 and TM47 and 6. a passport photo. Other banking requirements are a copy of all the pages in my bank book showing 800,000 deposit along with a statement from the bank for the previous 1 year period.... Did I miss anything?

Special Tourist Visa (STV), if you enter from 3rd July 2021 onwards you cannot extend your STV.

Please read the STV extension requirements carefully...lower right corner of graphic

This was just released information today.

At this time we will not be discussing details until we see learn more about it.

We share this as awareness for those considering the STV visa to enter Thailand.

I am sharing KL SETV advice, if appropriate..

On application at KL, I had one SETV plus extension in my UK passport.

I took their advice on the website seriously. I filled in the form and the checklist prior to arriving and I got there early, at 08:45, I was already 50 in the queue and they only deal with 130 a day, as I was told.

If you don’t have onward travel booked with proof prior to day 60, proof of your booking\itinerary in Thailand, including copy of housebook and Thai ID if staying with a Thai resident (which I am, but no TM30 asked for to prove my previous 3 months) or if you don’t dress appropriately, you will get turned away.

They don’t want to listen to how you’re going to apply for an extension; that’s a privilege if it’s given, not an absolute. I saw many people get turned away for trying to discuss that as a fact.

That aside, I found it seamless and easy. They didn’t ask for proof of funds or any explanation other than the paperwork and checklist and your POOT.

If this is not appropriate then please delete!
