Can I apply for a short-term visa extension early if my current 30-day stamp is about to expire?

Went to MTT today for Short Term Visa Ext, Amnesty.

Was told NO since my current 30day stamp expires Oct 21. They do not want to see me back until the 21st and not the 20th.

So much for going early to help them reduce the rush.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user visited the immigration office to apply for a short-term visa extension before their 30-day stamp expiration but was informed they must return on the exact expiration date, October 21. Sadly
@Wi**
, that's NOT what it means at all.

It says no matter when you apply for your extension until Oct 31st your stamp will start on Nov 1st.

It doesn't say anything about going back before your under consideration stamp says to.

I think you're reading into the notice what you want to hear, BUT you now know that you show up on the date your stamp says to..

If you had an 'under consideration' stamp you can't go early. :(

The only people who can just wander in are people who already had the "loop closed" and got their extension of stay stamps inked in already. They can show up and get stamped in until Nov 30.
