Hi! I will possibly apply for DTV but when on a side trip from Thailand. I plan to have 45 days in the land, then 2 weeks in Bali. Come back and do another 45 or 50 days (all on visa exempt entries) and have another 2-4 weeks somewhere else. I don't plan on doing it a third time. Just wanted to know which country is the easiest to submit the DTV and if it isn't processed in time can I still enter Thailand while I wait? The other option is we apply through the school my child will attend and therefore won't the DTV but won't know if we are staying more permanently until we have trialled life for at least a few months. The above was the only option I could see working well without spending time and money on visas we may not need. Any advice welcomed. No hate please. Thanks
On the 29th of April I will with my family fly from
Phuket to Bali and apply for the DTV under the soft power Muay Thai.
I found a Muay Thai gym here after a recommendation from someone in this group 🙏🏽
They will provide me the correct paperwork for a 6 month course (1x a week, so enough time to keep training at our regularly gym).
I do have a few questions, that I not seem to find the answer to when I use the search feature. So hopefully someone will be kind enough to help answer them 🙏🏽:
1. What date should be put in the invitation letter, would this be the date that I want to start the course?
The gym asked me to give them the correct date for the letter.
2. I will apply online to the Jakarta embassy, would I say this to the gym for the letter as well or does the embassy in Jakarta have a specific name?
3. How do I get the passport stamp in Bali when entering?
I was there a few weeks ago, but we went through the electronic checkpoint, so no stamp was issued.
4. I don’t work at the moment, but I get enough benefits per month from my home country and extra every 3 months, would that be an issue (not working)?
I plan on getting back to work online once we get settled, I do have over 500.000 thb in funds, so that won’t be an issue.
5. When I get the DTV approved and apply for my kids as dependents, would the costs also be 10.000 thb each for them?
Hi all. I have applied for a Non o retirement visa which I believe is single entry but valid for 3 months pre visit.
I would like to go to Bali for 10 days with a friend and then return to Thailand.
Is it possible to travel from the UK as a UK citizen for 30 days, then go to Bali, then use the Non O visa on returning to Thailand? This will be within the 3 months validity of the visa. Thanks in advance for advice.
Planning on heading to Bali for a month. Before COVID, the requirement / fee for a visa was waived for stays up to 30 days (without the possibility to extend). Or alternatively, a 30-day Visa on Arrival could be purchased (and that one was extendable once for another 30 days). Question: Has anybody here recently been to Bali and can confirm, that Visa-free entry for eligible countries is still possible?
Also, any advise on the most useful Facebook groups regarding Bali?
