TLDR : Answer Summary
There are discussions in the community about a potential two-month extension for COVID visas in Thailand. Some users claim to have received confirmation of the extension, while others express skepticism and ask for official sources. The conversation also touches on the process of applying for the extension, required forms like TM7, and the implications for various visa types, notably that Tourist visas may be eligible for extensions whereas VOA and Non-Immigrant visas might not be.

Is it easy to receive a covid extension or immigration will be picky and possibly deny the application, because all frontiers are opened and there are no barriers to fly back to home country.
no fake news, no lie, just explaining general rule Immigration office follows.
First extend a tourist visa for 30 days, after that can get 60 day COVID extension. This is general rule from immigration office.
An officer could have decided to skip the normal 30 day tourist extension and give you right-away the 60 day COVID extension. Love to see your stamps to prove its done like this, since it's rare. Which IO this happened?
Btw. Pretty harsh to call me out like this whilst I just explain general rules.
the guy is obviously just a keyboard warrior that knows best because something happened to him at one of the 70+ immigration offices in Thailand. Because of his experience he knows that all other offices will act in exactly the same way and therefore he’s right and everyone else is wrong.
You will have to ask your immigration office if they’ll issue a covid extension off tourist visa or will only allow the “regular” 30 day extension first.
slow day for you numb nuts? My agent said no more extensions before mine run out. Then they revoked test and go and he rang and said ‘can do again’….so we went and they stamped 2 months from Friday.
You're an imbecile dude, multiple people trying to explain to you that you've got yours because you've applied BEFORE the current cut-off date...and seriously, how lazy and helpless one has to be to use an agent for something which can be fixed independently without any effort except of filling few forms and glueing a picture to one of them??And after that you call people slow...
anyone can apply for a Covid extension until 25th January. There has been no notification that you can apply after this date. We are still waiting for announcement. And most people go to immigration, pay 1900bt and get the Covid extension without using an agent. Very simple process.
immigration on Friday. They backtracked on test and go when figures were rising. Now they have again put test and go back, so could be last time for COViD extension
you have a friend in immigration who attended a Sunday meeting - or you called about your visa and someone ( who was working on Sunday morning and answered the phone when the office is officially shut) told you. Which is it?
yes sir I have before non b visa because of covid I didn't extended my work visa now I am also in covid visa I called her morning for my work visa she said don't worry you will get covid visa today was meeting again two month extended
