my thoughts on the big question. Will further proof of study be requested for the Muay Thai / soft activity option.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether Thai immigration will change the rules for the DTV visa, specifically concerning proof of study for Muay Thai or similar activities. There is a general sentiment that the current visa will likely remain unchanged due to Thailand's interest in attracting visitors and boosting the economy. Comments suggest maintaining Muay Thai training should suffice for visa requirements, while some express skepticism about future rule changes.
Well, not useless for me. It reassures me that the gym owner is working on ongoing support for his students in the form of possible paperwork. It means someone's putting their mind to the task of helping me stay in Thailand for the near future.
It takes some of the pressure off me having to constantly read all the posts and articles of speculation, which I still do, as we are all doing right now, as there is an element of speculation here. There is much to reassure me, here.
Nobody has concrete evidence at this point, brother. I wish they did.
Call me paranoid but when immigration officers in Bangkok see the likes of me, they don't seem none too happy, lol. Thus, I'm aware that I'm only here on their sufferance and hospitality, such as it is.
So, I'm glad that someone as surprisingly thorough (I underestimated him) as the gym owner of Muay Thai Fever is remaining vigilant to any spanners the esteemed and respected individuals at immigration might drop into the works (just to keep us on our toes) and he's continuously thinking/working to pre-empt any complications down the road that might arise from their 'initiatives'.
That's much more than most agencies and certainly more than 99.9% of other gyms.
surely a gym owner who shows an intent to assist his visa customers should further courses be required is better than a gym owner who exploits the situation to his own advantage.
But yea your right and it was clearly stated, we don't know for sure.

There are no reasons to suggest at present they will change anything
Thailand wants people in country spending money. GDP growth or lack of indicates that
Housing market is massively under utilised with hundreds of thousands of empty condos nationwide
Every business could do with more customers.
They have a visa that interests thousands of not possibly tends of thousands but it is not in real terms pushing the needle
Personally I see it around for many years to come as the country enjoys the extra revenue
But obviously it now attracts the people not wanting to spend the money, because they want the training as short and cheap as possible, just to get the visa.
And when I look at all the people asking questions in this group, most of them already live in Thailand more or less legal, so no new boost for the economy at all.

To be fair, I wouldn’t think it would be unreasonable to still have to be engaged in Muay Thai training for the duration of your stays. I definitely don’t want them to need to see proof each entry/ extension but if they did I’ll have no issue in continuing to the training to satisfy their requirements.
You got the visa because you needed to stay for dental appointments, so it should not be unreasonable that visa duration and period of dental appointments match with each other.
can you read I was purely talking about Muay Thai training 🙄 or the other soft power activities not medical treatments. And also I stated I don’t want that to happen just saying it’s not unreasonable of the Thai government if they were to want us to show continued engagement in soft power activities while staying there.
