Is it still possible for them to approve before this departure date? I dont want to lose my money. Please help. Today the website gave me an error message ๐Ÿ˜ข

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their pending Thai eVisa application, which has been submitted several days prior, impacting their travel plans for a departure on February 8. They reported submitting additional documents after an initial request from the Thai authorities but are anxious due to past experiences where approvals occurred within a few days. Other commenters noted similar experiences with visa delays, especially during peak travel seasons, and emphasized the importance of allowing adequate time for visa processing.

The website has been down, but I believe it is OK now. What visa did you apply for?

It doesn't seem to be unusual for visas to be issued last minute to passports of African countries.

No one can even begin to help answer your question if you don't include what visa you applied for and at what embassy.

so what does the SA Thai embassy website say about visa processing times? Submitting new documents usually resets your timer, meaning it has only been 8 business days so far. And many Thai embassies are busy this week processing absentee ballots from Thais.

It's usually recommended to submit visa applications at a minimum of 1 month early, but many Thai embassies have advised their current processing time is 5-6 weeks due to high season and increased numbers of applications.
