How long will it take for my eVisa application to be approved after submitting additional documents?

My Embassy in Canberra, Australia asked for a better copy of my passport scan and a medical appointment confirmation letter.

I sent the scan and my appointment slip (I re-sent this earlier so I assumed they made an error). 45 min later I got another request for just the appointment confirmation letter. I contacted the Bangkok Hospital and got a proper confirmation letter and sent it and didn't hear back so seemingly they accepted it.

On the eVisa application portal it says the status is Processing, Pending Approval.

I'd imagine the process would be fairly quick now that we're at this stage right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster submitted a better copy of their passport scan and a medical appointment confirmation letter as requested by the Thai Embassy in Canberra. After receiving a follow-up request for just the appointment confirmation, they contacted the hospital for an official letter. Despite this, the status on the eVisa application portal remains 'Processing, Pending Approval'. Commenters noted that additional document requests might reset the processing time, which can take up to 10 business days or longer in some cases, while also emphasizing that the processing time may depend on the dates noted in the application.

usually when they do a request for additional documents, that re-sets the processing time back to zero and you have to wait it out again. (or some places it adds 5 more business days to the process)

This the posted processing time on the website of the thai consulate in Canberra 😮

2 weeks or more should be no problem, when applying in your homecountry.

where did you find the information about the reset processing time procedure?

@Lance *****
it's posted on MANY consulate websites about the eVisa processing

dunno if that's what they do in Canberra but they do it at enough consulates to make me believe they might do it there too

It depends. What intended date did you write in your application? Or the appointments date? What's the earliest one?

You think that really makes a difference to them?

If overwhelmed by many applications, Thai Embasies has been known to proces applications depending on travel date, not date of applying.

I don't think so, it does, as per my own experience. I applied (not Australia, tho) on August 26th and they kept it on Pending Approval until Oct 9th, because I wrote my intended date as Oct 22nd. And I've heard of a lot of similar cases in different countries. It makes sense, as the 5-year length starts to run from the very same day the visa is approved, regardless of you entering or not to Thailand. My real intended entry date is Oct 22nd as well.

I put my intended date on the form as
****
which I provided an appointment slip for but then I changed my appointment to
*****
and that's the confirmation evidence letter I sent them. But the actual input date on the online portal form is
****
, it's just the actual document that says
*****
and they wanted a letter of appointment confirmation so maybe they'll just see it's a proper confirmation and tick it off and they might not delay it and just go with the one I input on the form?

I think so
