What should I prepare for my DTV application in Vietnam while transitioning from an education visa in Thailand?

Hello all. I am flying to Hanoi next month to apply for my workcation DTV and am looking to make sure I have all my ducks in a row.

I am a USA citizen. I am currently on the education visa that expires a week before I depart.

I am the owner of an LLC and have for a few years, which I will be using as my proof of income/contract.

A friend mentioned, who also is the owner of an LLC, that she needed her documents to say she is the 'president' specifically. I am currently in the process of getting that together.

A few questions:

1. What do I need to do about the education visa since it will expire after I leave? Do I need to cancel it?

2. Unless my friend mentioned about the 'president' title, I would not have known otherwise, so I am wondering if there's anything else I might need that isn't super clear on the evisa site

3. Just curious about the document proving my current location per the evisa site... is that about where I am staying in Vietnam?

Thank you for reading!

Lol I’m currently in Da Nang waiting on my DTV. I applied last Mon, and Weds midday they asked for more docs. I got it in by Weds evening and am hoping to hear back soon. Then once I have mine I’ll apply for my kids’.

The things they asked for from me for the second round are:

*6 months bank statements and paystubs with deposits highlighted on the bank statements (I have a W2 job though so yours may differ);

*Every page of my passport, including blank pages, TIMESTAMPED, so I had to get timestamp software, and then compress the fuck out of it as you only get one 3MB upload per item. This was my proof of location. The first round I used my Vietnam visa, and then they asked for this.

*My resume and other evidence I can do the job I’ve already been doing for years, and they specifically requested work samples/ portfolio, which I didn’t provide because I’m an accountant, and I hope it’s okay.

*Business registration documents for my job—which seems more relevant to solepreneurs than to employees, so I hope it’ll be okay without this part too—and also a mission/ values statement, history and services offered, plus a link to the website.

*The past two years of taxes.

Are you on an education visa or an extension of stay based on education. If the former you don't need to do anything, if the latter you should get documentation from your school and cancel it at immigration, get them to post date it to the day you will leave and you can cancel in advance.

A common requirement is a letter from your company giving you permission to work remotely from Thailand, and it helps if it also states you won't work with any Thai entities or clients inside Thailand

Current location you show your entry stamp to Vietnam, you could also include a receipt from your hotel but usually if they want more they'll ask
