TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users discussed delays in their DTV (Domestic Tourist Visa) requests due to the Songkran holiday. The original poster applied on April 7, which coincided with the holiday, leading to longer wait times. Comments indicated that only a few business days had passed and that the timelines for embassies, particularly in Vietnam, have been increasing. Other users shared their experiences of delays, suggesting that applicants might expect extended processing times around this festive period.

I applied in Malaysia and it took almost 1 month. You may consider yourself lucky if you get a result this week

Yes of course. The consulates all closed for Songkran. The 7th was also a holiday so you only applied on the 8th in reality. Only 3 working days as the date you submit doesn't count.

It's only been 4 business days since you applied. You probably won't hear anything until next week at the earliest. But even before Songkran, the timeline for the embassies in Vietnam have been getting longer.
