Will my non-B visa be transferred to my new passport with the same expiration date?

The user inquired about transferring their non-B visa from an old passport to a new one and whether it would retain its expiration date. Comments suggest that the user might actually have a one-year extension of stay based on employment instead of a non-B visa, indicating that the immigration office would not extend the visa's validity.
