TLDR : Answer Summary
After changing your passport, you should visit your local Immigration Office in Thailand to update your records. It's necessary to transfer your entry stamp to the new passport, as the old passport will become invalid. It's recommended to carry both your old and new passports when entering Thailand. The process is typically quick and free, and keeping your visa information updated in the immigration system is important.

Here we go again.

You need to visit your local Immigration Office, your old passport became invalid and that does not goes well in case you get stopped and the passport is checked.

You need to update and transfer your entry stamp into a new passport, you can also get a stamp with your visa details. With both of these stamps you can travel with one passport.

Sorry you are wrong go to immigration as l have suggested and then tell me l am wrong. Why do people here know everything but no nothing WHY because they never listen to anyone its pointless you being here. If this is the case why have immigration transfered my new passport number to my dtv and update my stamp in my new passport. Then you only need to update your new passport number dont be lazy just go. It is in the immigration system and takes no time to update then your old passport in invalid

You are very wrong! You cannot transfer the visa. Yes you can transfer the current stamp to new passport but why waste time? Next time you enter the country you still need to have both passport with you

Anonymous participant 874 You are assuming that immigration will move the visa stamp to the new passport, most won't.
