My friend’s ED visa expired on 30 October 2018, however he finished his study since 20 July 2018. He left Thailand on 28 Oct before the Visa expired. In the case he got a work permit and wanted to extend Non. B visa on this year for one year, is it called overstated on the record of last year and needed to pay 20k for this?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns a friend whose Education Visa (ED) expired on 30 October 2018, although he completed his studies on 20 July 2018 and left Thailand prior to the visa expiry. The primary inquiry is whether this situation constitutes an overstay that would affect future applications for a Non-B visa, and whether there would be a penalty fee involved.
