Hi group,Im in thailand at the moment awaiting my visa to cambodia, and then once in cambodia I will have to ask a tourist visa for come back to thailand. My Thai visa will expire the 15 and Im afraid that I will not get in time the Cambodia one. Do you think I will have problem when I will ask the Thai Tourist Visa if I overstay 1 or 2 day ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand waiting for a Cambodian visa, which is critical as their Thai visa expires soon. They are concerned about potential issues when applying for a Thai Tourist Visa if they have a short overstay. Comments suggest that while overstaying can lead to fines (500 THB per day), others have had success receiving new visas after minor overstays, although they faced additional scrutiny upon re-entry. Alternative suggestions include applying for an extension or ensuring timely application for the Cambodian visa to avoid overstaying altogether.

If you go to the Cambodia Embassy in BKK personally, it takes 2 hours....

I understand the border runs are back? When coming back you will have to do the Test&Go ? Travel by air?

Border runs arent back, in and out by air. Yes, test and go, Thai pass for every entry into Thailand.

So for almost the same amount of money you can visit your home country in Europe for some weeks.

I applied Cambodia TR Visa, and got it in the same day. I don't think you even need to overstay.

Some time ago I overstayed 2 days and paid the fine.. I did the same and went to Cambodia for tourist visa, I had no problems getting it.. the problem was when I arrived back in Thailand, they saw my previous overstay and interrogated me for at least 30 min.. they even called my boyfriend to check my story ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’

The usual response is never do an overstay. Why take the risk?

because I have to leave thailand not over the 15, and Im waiting the visa for cambodia, so I dont know if I will get it before the 15

Maybe you can ask for some visa extension even when knowing that they will deny it? I understood that you will get a 7 day stamp or so to leave the country? Maybe that is better than overstay?

I just realized that we asked the visa passing by an agency! What's the difference between asking by agency or asking straight from the government?

@Marco ******
pay more and maybe a dodgy visa
Steve *******
@Bob *********
I doubt it's 'dodgy'. You just pay more.

Please ..read the post before answer! I never asked how much cost the overstay. I only asked "if I will have problem in future asking a tourist visa, if I will overstay 1 or 2 days!" I think it's pretty clear the question...

You should not have any problems asking for a tourist visa if you have a two day overstay stamp from the Thai consulate in Cambodia.
