Hi, a question about 45-day free entry, please. When we fly and stamp into Thailand after Oct. 1st, we will get 45 days to stay instead of 30 days like before, right? How about when we extend the stay at the immigration office in Thailand, say around the middle of November? Do we then get another 45 days, or only 30 days? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers entering Thailand after October 1st will receive a 45-day stay instead of the previous 30 days. However, regardless of the initial 45-day entry period, extensions at the immigration office remain limited to a maximum of 30 days for visa exempt entries.

One 30 day extension of stay remains the same for a tourist visa and Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand.

VOA Visa on Arrival gets a 30 day stamp from October 1 2022 thru March 31 2023.. but CANNOT be extended.

You get only a 30 day extension on the visa exempt entry of 45 days,

ONLY the entry period changes the amount of time you get on an extension from it stays at 30 days like it always has been 🙂
