Will I receive a 1-month 'under consideration' stamp or a full 12 months when renewing my Non-O visa for raising a Thai child?

ORIGINAL POSTER
I'm currently on a 1 year non-o based on raising thai child visa which will end in January. This is my first year on that visa so when I got it I received 1 month "under consideration", someone from the immigration came to my place to see if everything is legit and after that I got the other 11 months stamped.

My question:

Will I get again the 1 month stamp or directly 12?

Responsible immigration is the one in Chiang Mai. I called them but they just send me around and couldn't give me a clear answer. In summer I went to the south with my kid to avoid the smoke hence my tm30 changed for a while but is now back to my initial place when I did the visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 1-year Non-O visa for raising a Thai child, which is set to expire in January and wonders if they will receive another 1-month 'under consideration' stamp upon renewal or a direct 12-month extension. A comment clarifies that typically, for this visa type, a 30-day 'under consideration' stamp is always issued during the extension application process, although subsequent renewals usually do not involve an in-home visit.

No matter where you apply for the extension that visa type ALWAYS gets a 30 day under consideration stamp when you apply for a new one.

BUT

usually after the first year they don't do the in home visit

I have a follow up question!

Once you receive the 30 day under consideration stamp before the 1 year , can you leave the country for a short business trip with a re entry permit ?

Your answers will be much appreciated

when you apply for the extension tell them of the trip so if there is a home visit they can coordinate it with you..

, you can as

says. But better to contact your local immigration office about your trip abroad during the under-consideration period BEFORE you travel as there are possibilities they might contact you during this period.

good question (y)

yes, you can travel during that period

AND

yes, you would need to buy a re-entry permit.

That permit would only be valid for the under consideration stamp's validity.
