Can a Non O visa holder apply for a 12-month extension in Chiang Mai without a consideration period?

Update; my friend was successful in getting a 12 month extension with only the notarised letter of income from the Austrian consulate and a TM30.

She had 45 days left on her non O and the 12 months was added to the original expiry date of her non O.

She did not need to go under a period of consideration. It was inked into her passport on the day she applied-Chiang Mai Immigration

My friend has an Austrian passport. She is here on a non O based on being aged over 50, which she obtained from the Thai embassy in her country before she came here. Her non O ends on the 19th of December. She wants to apply for a 12 month extension next month. She meets the financial requirements and has a TM30. Will she have to undergo a period of being "under consideration" for the extension (Chiang Mai Immigration) or will she be able to get the extension on the day she applies for it?
