Can I extend my Non-O visa for a Thai child for 60 days instead of the 1-year extension in Chon Buri?

Good afternoon! Does anyone had experience to make a 1 time extension of Non - O ( thai child) 90 days stamp for another 60 days. In Chon Buri immigration they keep telling me that i can only extend it for 1 year. They never heard anything about 60 days 1 time extension......should i just try another province????

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of extending a Non-O visa for a Thai child by 60 days, as immigration in Chon Buri is insisting that the only extension available is for one year. Responses indicate that the 60-day extension is typically available under the 'visiting family member' reason and may not apply to 'half Thai child' cases. A successful extension was reported in Phuket Town, suggesting potential differences between immigration offices.

here is the clause that allows you to get the extension based on "visiting thai family" clause 2.24 in the current police order that controls extensions

the 60 day extension is for "visit family member" reason, not for the reason of "half Thai child" so maybe that's why they think you cannot get 60 days for reason "half Thai Child" which actually is corrrect and can only be had for one year

JUST to confirm, is Sri Racha in Chonburi Province? If it is, you can use that immigration office.

I would challenge it, and ask for Bangkok Immigration to review the application. This should be allowed under #24 on this website:

When you are applying for this extension of stay, are you bringing the child with you?
